The Project
Poetry in the City is a new summer weekend event in Bradford city centre, presented by Ilkley Literature Festival as part of the annual World Curry Festival. It offers a feast of exciting poetry alongside delicious food from around the world with high-profile poets, powerful and intimate performances, writing masterclasses and workshops, fun family events for parents and children and a multi-lingual Mushaira.
The 2014 event included renowned poets, Simon Armitage, Roger McGough, Patience Agbabi, Ian McMillan and Moniza Alvi.
dg3 was asked to design the logo and supply the publicity: leaflets, posters, pull-up banner stands and a series of bus adverts. The branding needed to link with the main Ilkley Literature Festival while having a fresh and distinct identity that would help attract a new audience to poetry.
