Leeds Mind dedicated their 2003 Annual Report to the theme of 'recovery'. More than just a report, but a celebration of recovery, the report used service users' own stories of recovery, richly decorated with service users own artwork. dg3 suggested the idea of a storybook format, with the formal part of the annual report – finance etc. – produced as a separate one colour insert, so that the stories could stand alone and have a life beyond the year of the report.
